Weymouth Furnace

Atlantic County · dedicated 1932 · Near northwest corner of intersection Weymouth-Mays Landing · location approximate

Built about 1800 and operated till about 1865. Here were made cannon and cannon balls during the War of 1812. Also the first iron water pipes used in Philadelphia were made here. The Weymouth tract included about 80,000 acres.
