WHITAKER'S CHAPEL

Whitaker'S Chapel is a North Carolina historical marker in Halifax County, dedicated 1965.

Halifax County · dedicated 1965 · SR 1003 (Whitaker Street) east of Enfield

Originally Anglican, 1740; later Methodist. In 1828 first annual conference of Methodist Protestant Church met here. This is third building on site.
