Van Dyke House

New Castle County · dedicated 1932 · 300 Delaware St, New Castle

Built around 1820 by Senator Nicholas Van Dyke. The marriage of Dorcas Van Dyke to Charles I. duPont took place here Oct. 6, 1824. At this wedding the Marquis de Lafayette was a guest, and gave the bride in marriage.
