San Joaquin Valley College

Built through subscription by the residents of Woodbridge and dedicated as Woodbridge Seminary in 1879 by the United Brethren Church; this was the site of San Joaquin Valley College, 1882-1897. It was then used as Woods Grammar School until 1922, when the building was dismantled.

1971 register text, presented as a historical document. It uses the period's terms for Native people; the state's landmark listings still carry most of this wording, and the California Office of Historic Preservation maintains the program's current texts.
