Plymouth Trading Post

This building, constructed entirely of brick, was built by Joe Williams in 1857. In 1873 the many small mines of the area were consolidated into the name of Plymouth Consolidated and this building became the office and commissary.

1971 register text, presented as a historical document. It uses the period's terms for Native people; the state's landmark listings still carry most of this wording, and the California Office of Historic Preservation maintains the program's current texts.
