Camino of Rancho San Antonio

The Camino of Rancho San Antonio ran from Mission San José to Fruitvale; and later to San Pablo by way of Oakland and El Cerrito. The word camino means trail, road, highway, or line of communication which is in general use, public or private.

1971 register text, presented as a historical document. It uses the period's terms for Native people; the state's landmark listings still carry most of this wording, and the California Office of Historic Preservation maintains the program's current texts.
