I.O.O.F. Hall, Mokelumne Hill

This is said to be the first three-story building to be erected in the interior of the state. The original building was erected in 1854 as a two-story building. A third story, to be used for lodge purposes, was added later. The lower floors have been used for various purposes.

1971 register text, presented as a historical document. It uses the period's terms for Native people; the state's landmark listings still carry most of this wording, and the California Office of Historic Preservation maintains the program's current texts.
