Serrano Boulder

Riverside County · 800 feet west of Highway 71, 10 miles south of Corona · location approximate

As early as 1818, Don Leandro Serrano was in Temescal Valley. Here he had cattle, sheep, cultivated the land, and set out orchards. The boulder placed by residents of Temescal Valley marks the site of the first house in Riverside County which was erected by Leandro Serrano about May 1824.
