Cadw's description

Forward from the right of corner shop.

Mid C19 building to street, C17 to rear range.

Tall 3 storey 1 window front, red brick with hipped slate roof, boxed eaves. Tripartite sash windows with narrow side lights to upper floors. Good shop front with Doric cornice (guttae, triglyphs and paterae) returned at left hand end, enriched console brackets and finials to plain end pilasters, panelled stallrisers and centre doors.

3 storey rear elevation to Albert Square, probably C18, rubble and brick work with sash windows in flush frames, boarded gable.
Attached 2 storey rear range (London Cottage) of about 1600, rubble and boarding with massive central stacks, modern windows and porch to left. Interesting internal plan-form with evidence of the original roof structure and surviving main ceiling beams with broad joists.
Later and higher 2 storey brick work extension to right.

The condition of part of the rear building is poor.

Group value.
