Cadw's description

On a corner site with equal frontages to Broad and High Streets.

After 1832, the date of J.M.Ince's view showing the Old Shire Hall still occupying the Post Office site.

Matching tall 2 storey 2 window stucco frontages with band course over 1st floor, hipped slate roof with wide eaves, twin bargeboarded gables above No 1 High Street. Double hung sash windows, with glazing bars, in plain reveals. Mid C19 overall moulded cornice to both elevations of shop fronts, curved volute brackets, plain mullions, door on corner splay with cast iron columns supporting upper floors.
