Situated about 10m from junction with New Road.
History
Milestone on turnpike road, probably older stone with earlier C19 cast-iron plate affixed. The turnpike system in the area dates from c. 1768. This stone stands close to the site of the toll-house on the far side of New Road, moved to Crogbren, Castle Hill c.1968.

Milestone, curved headed stone with curved headed cast-iron plaque reading '21 miles from Shrewsbury'.
