On the E side of Quoits Water Pill some 30m SE of Pill Farm.
History
C18 to earlier C19 large lime kiln on E side of Quoits Water Pill.
Exterior
Lime-kiln, rubble stone with semi-circular face to W, with segmentally arched kiln-eye recess with splayed sides S side, with stone voussoirs. Kiln-eye on N side has collapsed.
Reason for designation
Included for its special interest as a substantial lime-kiln, evidence of the coastal lime trade of the C18 and C19.
