On the N side of the farmhouse.
History
Dated 1848 and shown on the 1889 Ordnance Survey.
Exterior
A lofted rubble-stone cow house with corrugated iron roof. It has 6 doorways, of which the R-hand is blocked, with segmental stone heads with voussoirs and drip moulds. Two split boarded doors have survived at the L end. The loft has 4 ventilation strips, 2 shuttered openings and L of centre a diamond panel with date inscription. Added ranges are against the L gable end and rear. The R gable end has a segmental-headed loft opening and an inserted doorway below it.
Reason for designation
Listed for its special interest as a fine mid C19 cow house and as part of a strong farm group at Hirfron.
