Location
Situated on N side of road, some 1.8 km NE of Dyffryn Castell.
History
Milestone, probably mid C19, on turnpike road from Llangurig to Aberystwyth via Devil's Bridge, for which trust was established in 1770. This section of road became part of the new road of 1812 to Aberystwyth via Ponterwyd.
Exterior
Milestone, whitewashed stone with curved top inscribed 'Aberystwth 15 miles', the town name in capitals following curve, Miles in lower case under numeral. Lettering similar to that on 11, 12, and 14-mile stones.
Reason for designation
Included for transport historical interest as marking early turnpike route.
