Situated on S side of main road, some 140m E of bridge over Rheidol.
History
Milestone, C19, on new road from Aberystwyth laid out in 1812 to join old road from Llangurig 2.5km E of Ponterwyd at junction with B4343.
Exterior
Milestone, whitewashed stone with curved top inscribed 'Aberystwth 12 miles', the town name in capitals following curve, 'Miles' in lower case under numeral. Lettering similar to 11 mile stone.

Included for transport historical interest.
