History
Probably C19 and associated with the turnpiking of the road.
Exterior
A plain rectangular slate pillar with chamfered top angles. It is engraved 'Mach. / 2M' near the top; bench mark towards base. There is some evidence for wear and damage.

Listed for its special interest as a C19 milestone.
