Stepped up from adjoining properties, set into a long row of street frontages.
History
Probably 1890's (not shown in photograph of ca 1890 although building shown on the site on 1887 map).
Exterior
2-storey, 2-window red brick front with stock brick dressings. Slate roof with cresting and brick end chimney stack to right (removed to left); pilasters to end and centre and dentil cornice. 6-pane sash windows with classical architraves composed of brick pilasters and freestone lintels and cills. Original overall shop fronts with fluted fascia ends and fluted pilasters - also to centre. Broad 6-pane sash shop window to No 25 with iron ventilation panel and half fixed glazed 4-pane windows; panelled stallriser.
