Location
Situated about 1 km SW of Blaenplwyf on the W side of the A487 immediately N of Brynheulwen.
History
Early C19 milestone, one of a series on the Aberaeron to Aberytstwyth section of the coast road, for which the Turnpike Act dates from 1770.
Exterior
Arched-headed squared stone milestone in colourwashed stone with incised figures painted black. Lettering follows curve of arch, reading 'Aberystwyth'. To centre is large numeral '5' with 'Miles' incised beneath in lower case.
Reason for designation
Included as one of a good series of milestones of matching style along the A487.
