On the NW side of the church.
History
Including the grave of Sir Lewis Morris (1833-1907), poet, educationalist and lawyer. His best-known poetical works include The Epic of Hades (1876-7) and 'The Physicians of Myddfai'. From 1878 he held offices at the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, as successively honorary secretary, joint treasurer and vice president.
Exterior
Three saddleback grave slabs with simple memorial inscriptions, enclosed by a freestone kerb and dwarf cast iron railings incorporating quatrefoils and finials. The S grave is to Sir Lewis Morris, the central to Rebecca Morris (1817-1861), the N to Lewis Edward William Morris (1797-1872).
Reason for designation
Listed for its special interest as including the grave of an important figure in C19 literature and education in Wales.
