Cadw's description
Location
In an isolated rural location at the head of the Afon Cwmnantcol valley. The field barn is c250m SW of Maes-y-garnedd.
History
C18 or early C19.
Exterior
Large fieldbarn or cowhouse built of rubble masonry; modern slate roof with slate copings. The doorway is in the NW gable and each of the 4-bays is articulated by ground and loft ventilation slits.
Interior
The interior was not inspected at the time of the survey.
Reason for designation
Included as a well detailed field cowhouse which forms an integral part of the farmstead of Maes-y-garnedd.
