Location
At the south-east side of the farmyard about 50m south of Maesllymystyn.
History
One of a set of C19 farm buildings associated with Maesllymystyn Hall, later worked from Maesllymystyn
farmhouse. It is a cowhouse forming one side of a square yard centred on a midden.
Exterior
A single-storey cowhouse range forming the east side of the Maesllymystyn midden yard; uncoursed
axe-dressed stonework, partly replaced on the west side by brickwork; slate roof, hipped at both ends.
Five boarded doors, three steel windows and open bays to west: door, six slatted windows and two
shuttered hatches to east.
Reason for designation
A cowhouse forming part of a planned farmyard; listed for group value with Maesllymystyn farmhouse and
other farmbuildings and constituting an exceptionally good estate farm layout.
