Cadw's description

On the S side of Main Street near the W end of the Town Hall.

Telephone call box of K6 type designed in 1936 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott for the GPO, this one made after 1952. telephone number 01646 682147.

Telephone kiosk, red-painted cast-iron with shallow Soaneian domed top, the three sides with embossed Elizabeth II crown over translucent glazed panel lettered ''Telephone''. Sides and front door are glazed in 8 horizontal panes with marginal panes in raised surround. Door is wood with cast-iron glazing frame. Blank rear with founders mark of Lion Foundry Co. Ltd., Kirkintilloch.
