Cadw's description

Immediately beside road between Penmachno Mill crossroads and Ysbyty Ifan. Aligned N-S.

Probably C18 or earlier fieldbarn.

Random masonry of slate and rubble with some small boulders; boulder foundations; roof of small slates laid in diminishing courses. Three doorways all with simple stone lintels. Two doors are in usual positions of gable end (N) and opposite corner (SW) but additional one in long side (E). Building originally lofted since pitching window in gable end next to road.

Old roof trusses of simple tie-beam type; new rafters.

Included as perhaps best preserved early vernacular fieldbarn in community.
