Cadw's description

Situated opposite Y Siop Llangian in centre of village, on S side of lane to Botwnnog, set into rubble stone bank.

Telephone call-box to standard design by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott introduced in 1936, this example with George VI crown pre-1953.

Telephone kiosk, red-painted cast-iron, square plan with glazed front and left side, matching glazed door to right side, blank rear. Glazing is in raised surround and of 8 vertically-arranged horizontal panels with marginal glazing bars. Above, glazed translucent lettered panels under Soaneian shallow dome with embossed crowns in lunettes.

Modernised telephone equipment.
