Cadw's description

At an angle to the road, to the SW of the main house.

Probably contemporary with the enlargements to the main house (then The George Inn) ca 1850.

Octagonal painted stone gatepiers with bracketed out pyramidal caps; arched headed panels to each face with projected mouldings. Cast iron gate retained to left piers, missing to the right.

Included for group value with the George Hostel.
