Location
Located immediately to the E of Dol-y-Gadfa, enclosing a forecourt on the eastern side.
History
Stable block, probably of C17 or early C18 origin, with later cowhouse addition. The roof of the stable section appears to have been raised.
Exterior
Stone agricultural range consisting of a primary former stable section with a lower cowhouse range adjoining to the S. Of local rubble construction, the stable section slated, the cowhouse with modern corrugated metal roof. The main (W) side has a near-central stable entrance with modern boarded doors with flanking boarded windows, that to the R with incorporated entrance; boarded modern door. The cowhouse section has 3 entrances with modern boarded doors, and a boarded window to the L, also formerly an entrance. At the far R is a large entrance open to the eaves and with slate slab jambs; slatestone lintels throughout. Adjoining to the R gable end is a later lean-to store with corrugated modern roof. Upper entrance to the N (road-facing) gable, with boarded door and external stone-stepped access.
Interior
The interior was not inspected at the time of survey.
Reason for designation
Listed as a good farm range, notwithstanding alterations, having group value with Dol-y-Gadfa.
