Cadw's description
Location
A pair of cottages, now one dwelling, standing at the E end of the village street, facing S over the bridge.
History
The cottages were probably built in the early-mid C19.
Exterior
Built of stone and pebbledashed to the front, with a slate roof. Each former cottage consists of a single bay of two-storeys, with a boarded door to the side and a single 16-pane sash window on the ground floor and a 12-pane single sash window directly under the eaves lighting the first floor. Smooth rendered architraves with cambered heads and eared sill to the openings. Rubble stone stack at the centre, formerly on the party wall. The house adjoins the barn to Tynewydd, which stands forward on the left.
Reason for designation
Included as a pair of cottages, now one dwelling, retaining their earlier and strong early-mid C19 character, and of group value at the E end of the village.
