Located on the east side of the A 487 approximately 3.2km south of Llanllyfni; set in a rubblestone boundary wall.
History
One of a series of milestones set up after the establishment of the turnpike road in the 1820s.
Exterior
Slate-stone with simple chamfered top edge set in boundary wall. Inscribed "MILES" to top right corner with below in descending order "CARNARVON 9/ PENYGROES 2 5/8/ LLANLLYFNI 2/ TREMADOC 10".
Reason for designation
Included for its special historic interest as a turnpike road milestone, a well-preserved example of a characteristic local type.
