Location

850m south-west of Crosshands crossroads.

History

The road from Llandeilo to Llannon was part of the Three Commotts Turnpike Trust system established in the late C18.

Exterior

Late C18 milestone of limestone bearing the lettering: "From / Llandilo / 9 Miles / To / Llanelly / 8 1/2". The stone is about 500mm high by about 350mm wide, and about 150mm in thickness. The top is roughly rounded.
