Cadw's description

Beside road from Llannon to Pontyberem, 50m west of entrance to Brynwicket Farm.

The road through Pontyberem to Llannon was part of the Kidwelly Turnpike Trust system re-established in the late C18 under its Renewal Act of 1779.

Late C18 milestone of limestone bearing the lettering: "From / Carmarthen / 11 Miles / To Llannon / 1". The stone is about 700mm high by about 400wide, and about 125mm thick. The top is roughly rounded.

Listed as a late C18 milestone of characteristic local type.
