Cadw's description

Approximately 0.8km SSE of Bwlch church in a lay-by.

Late C18 and on the London to Brecon coach route, where tolls and toll houses were introduced after an Act of Parliament dated 1767.

Segmental-headed mile marker of dressed stone, inscribed: BRECON 9.

A good example of a well inscribed simple milestone.
