Cadw's description

Situated on SE side of B 4329 opposite Newfoundland, about 1 km NE of Brynberian Bridge.

C19 circular pound for impounding stray livestock off Preseli mountains. Similar to the pound at Newport, Pembrokeshire.

Circular enclosure of some 19 m diameter enclosed by a rubble stone and earth bank some 1.5 - 1.75 m high and 2m broad. One gateway with 2 single-slab stone gateposts.

A well-preserved example of a rare local feature.
