Location
Bridge spanning the Bechan Brook just south of the junction of the B4568 and the B4389. Located on the boundary between the communities of Llandyssil and Newtown & Llanllwchaiarn.
History
Constructed between 1855 and 1859 following the destruction of the former bridge. Probably designed by or constructed under the direction of Thomas Penson.
Exterior
Tall semi-circular single arch with dressed stone voussoirs and high keystones set forward. Snecked masonry facing with impost band. Curved returns with pilasters to ends. Deck with chamfered string course, supporting a parapet of dressed stone with roughed facing and margin drafting.
Reason for designation
Listed as an impressive, tall, stone-built bridge of the mid C19.
