Cadw's description

Situated on E side of A 487 some 200m S of Penrhiwlas, at junction of lane to Blaenwern, some 1.7 km SSW of Llanarth.

Early C19 milestone on Cardigan to Aberystwyth road, turnpike trust formed 1770. Similar to stones from Aberaeron to Cardigan.

Whitewashed stone milestone inscribed : "TO CARDIGAN 17 MILES".

Included as relic of transport history.
