Cadw's description

Situated on S side of by-road, 150m E of Troedyrhiw Chapel and approximately 2km W of Cribyn.

Late C18 This road was under the management of the Aberystwyth Turnpike Trust, which was set up in 1770.

Roughly shaped milestone set in hedge-bank. Smooth face with seraphed lettering reading: "To Cardigan 22 miles". Bench-mark below inscription. Stone thicker at the base.

Listed for historic interest as a very early survival of early road transport history.
