Cadw's description

Situated just N of entrance lodge on drive some 150m N of Pont Trawsgoed.

Plain late C19 iron gateposts and curving stone walls to drive to Trawsgoed mansion, possibly contemporary with the lodge built in 1893 for the 6th Earl of Lisburne. This was a secondary drive, and became the main entrance in the C20. Old photographs show that there was a third gatepier, double iron main gates and single small iron pedestrian gate to right.

Two octagonal cast-iron piers with neck ring and moulded octagonal cap, flanked by low serpentine-curving rubble stone walls with stone coping, the walling in squared brown stone, the coping stones very long, in tooled grey stone. Low end piers.

Included for group value with the lodge at entrance to Trawsgoed.
