Cadw's description

Set in the churchyard against the main road.

National school, 1825-7, extensively altered and extended in 1873, now a school outdoor pursuits centre.

Uncoursed dolerite with slate roof. One high storey, 4 window bay with two lower gabled entrance cloakrooms facing the road. Yellow brick stack between cloakrooms, shouldered at eaves level. Large transomed paned windows under segmental stone arches and stone sills. Attached at the E end 1-bay washroom further extended as toilets. Interior subdivided and ceiled throughout.

The building is a good example of a village school situated close to the church and makes a handsome contribution to the village centre.
