Location
Sited between Carreghofa Locks and B4398 road which crosses the Montgomeryshire Canal at Williams Bridge.
History
Designed by John Dadford, canal engineer of Cardiff, between 1794-6, partly rebuilt by Shropshire Union Railway and Canal Company about 1890 with metal tie-rods and brick arch-linings.
Exterior
Squared stone cappings and quoins, rubble facings, four round (rebuilt) blue brick arches with arch rings meeting (on both sides) at low, stepped cutwaters with pryamidal tops. Outer ends checked forward with curved abutments sloping down to low brick piers. Paired oval brace-plates to haunches of each arch.
