Opposite main entrance to National Museum.
History
1960, by Rizzello. David Lloyd George (1863-1945), Liberal statesman, first Earl of Dwyfor was born in North Wales. As Chancellor of Exchequer 1908-15 introduced old age pensions, and a national insurance scheme; Prime Minister 1916-1922.
Exterior
Bronze standing figure with right leg stretched forward, with right arm outstretched and with both fists clenched; dressed in suit and cape. High stone plinth.
Reason for designation
Listed as public sculpture of Welsh statesman of international importance on key site in civic centre. Group value with adjacent listed structures.
