Prominently sited at the S side of the harbour; reached past the side of the Fire Station and along the water’s edge; to rear of Nos 9 and 10 Harbour Crescent.

Shown on c. 1790 map; one of 13 limekilns that surrounded the harbour in C19

This is the earlier of the 2 limekilns that remain. Built against the sea wall embankment. Square rubble structure with voussoir arched, splayed openings to 3 sides; damaged NW corner.
