Van de OMWALLING die eind 16e eeuw, na geslecht te zijn door Alva, opnieuw is aangelegd is alleen aan de noord-oostzijde "het Hoog Bolwerk" nog een gedeelte over. Tevens de een geheel vormende BINNENGRACHTEN langs de Bagijnenstraat, de Grote Dijlakker, de Marktstraat en het Grootzand.
