The register's description

Ned. hervormde kerk.

Dutch Reformed Church. Located on a height, originally a medieval single-aisle church with two side chapels functioning as transept arms. The choir was demolished at the end of the 17th century. The church is predominantly built of yellow-red brick. The roof surfaces are covered with slate in Maas pattern. It has a heavy west tower from the early 16th century (separate monument number 9009). The oldest church building on this site dates from the early 14th century. From this single-aisle church with narrower choir, some masonry remains on the north side below the drip moulding. In the 15th century the church was enlarged and extended with a five-sided closed choir, a sacristy and a chapel on the south side. In the early 16th century the north chapel was constructed, which was enlarged to a burial chapel in 1616. As a result of a storm in 1674 the choir collapsed. It was not rebuilt. The former triumphal arch between nave and choir was sealed off. After a fire in 1891 the church was rebuilt using the old masonry. During a restoration of the church between 1972 and 1975, masonry and windows in Gothic style were reconstructed based on discoveries in the work. On the north facade mason's marks in the form of crosses and diamond patterns are visible. From the original inventory some gravestones remain, including that of master craftsman Jacobus Magnus from 1625. This gravestone is set up in the north chapel. Brass font base holder, consisting of eight flat rods arranged radially with balusters, enclosed with a band, on a rotating volute-shaped arm, second half of the 17th century. Brass pulpit reading desk, consisting of leafwork around a vertical motif of flower calyx and poppy seed heads. The reading desk is connected to the pulpit via a non-rotating, curved arm that terminates on one side in a stylised flower calyx and on the other side in an acanthus leaf motif, second half of the 17th century. Communion plate, consisting of a chalice from 1631, two chalices from 1653, donated by the master craftswoman and a chalice from the mid-17th century. Furthermore a communion set consisting of a large plate, two small plates and two ewers, donated by Pieter Smits in 1857. Silver font basin, donated in 1860 by the master craftsman. Church building with inventory pieces of significance from an architectural history perspective.

Single manual organ, made in 1903 by the firm Gabry in Gouda.
