Omschrijving
De rijzige toren dagtekent waarschijnlijk uit de 14e eeuw en vertoont tegen de onderste drie geledingen een romaniserende versiering met lisenen en boogfriezen in baksteen. De vijfde geleding, opgetrokken in de 15e eeuw, heeft een uitgekraagd spitsbogenfries, waarboven een borstwering met spitsboognissen. De 15e eeuwse naaldspits met open lantaarnbekroning uit 1910 werd tijdens de torenrestauratie omstreeks 1962 ten dele met het oude materiaal vernieuwd. Klokkenstoel met gelui van zes klokken, waarvan één van C. Noorden en J. A. de Grave, 1711, diam. 142,7 cm. en vijf moderne klokken. Mechanisch smeedijzeren torenuurwerk op houten stoel, 17e eeuw, handopwinding, afkomstig uit Friesland. De slagklok is van Taylor uit 1927. Het uurwerk is eigendom van de Stichting "De Barneveldse Beiaard" en is niet in gebruik voor openbare tijdsaanduiding. Description
The tall tower is probably dated to the 14th century and shows against the bottom three storeys a romanizing decoration with pilaster strips and arch friezes in brick. The fifth storey, built in the 15th century, has a projecting pointed arch frieze, above which a parapet with pointed arch recesses. The 15th-century needle spire with open lantern crown from 1910 was partly renewed with the old material during the tower restoration around 1962. Bell frame with a ring of six bells, one of which is by C. Noorden and J. A. de Grave, 1711, diam. 142.7 cm. and five modern bells. Mechanical wrought-iron tower clock on wooden stand, 17th century, hand winding, originating from Friesland. The striking clock is by Taylor from 1927. The clock is the property of the Foundation "De Barneveldse Beiaard" and is not in use for public time display. Carillon consisting of 17 bells by Gillett & Johnston and 32 modern bells.
