Inleiding
Tuinkoepel, oorspronkelijk in 1874 gebouwd door Jannes Snoeken in de (latere) tuin van hotel Overcingel, op 23 mei 1995 verplaatst naar de Gouverneurstuin te Assen. De tuinkoepel werd verplaatst wegens de bouw van een bankkantoor op de hoek van de Stationsstraat en de H. de Ruiterstraat te Assen. Kleine, bakstenen aanbouw uit 1995 tegen de oostzijde, met plat dak.
Omschrijving
Rode, bakstenen tuinkoepel op ronde plattegrond en voorzien van een overstekend, conisch rieten dak. De tuinkoepel is gemetseld in halfsteensverband. Koppenlagen boven de vier vensters, alle vensters met middenstijl.
Waardering
De uit 1874 daterende tuinkoepel in de Gouverneurstuin te Assen vertegenwoordigt algemeen belang op basis van:
- de ouderdom;
- de sierende waarde in relatie tot de Gouverneurstuin;

Introduction
Garden pavilion, originally built in 1874 by Jannes Snoeken in the (later) garden of hotel Overcingel, moved on 23 May 1995 to the Gouverneurstuin in Assen. The garden pavilion was relocated due to the construction of a bank office on the corner of Stationsstraat and H. de Ruiterstraat in Assen. Small brick extension from 1995 on the east side, with flat roof.
Description
Red brick garden pavilion on circular plan and provided with an overhanging, conical thatched roof. The garden pavilion is laid in half-brick bond. Header courses above the four windows, all windows with central post.
