Omschrijving
Hoofdkantoor met laboratorium, onderdeel van het fabriekscomplex ENCI (Eerste Nederlandse Cement Industrie). Het hoofdkantoor met laboratorium uit 1964 is ontworpen door architect Piet Dingemans. Het representatieve gebouw kenmerkt zich door een veelzijdige toepassing van cement, zowel in de constructie, de gevelbekleding met betonplaten met groevenprofiel en in de decoratieve elementen. Het hoofdkantoor heeft zeven bouwlagen. De voorgevel heeft borstweringen van geprofileerde betonplaten, waarboven lintvensters. Het laboratorium heeft zes bouwlagen.
Het interieur van het kantoor en laboratorium is grotendeels ongewijzigd en kent vele kunsttoepassingen in het interieur, waaronder fotopanelen (Frans Lahaye en B. van Gils), gang op de eerste verdieping met grisailleschilderingen (Mart Linnarts), beton grenettewand in de hal en mozaïeken in de kantine (Frans Slijpen) en de belettering boven de entree (Jan van den Bouwhuyzen). Aan de zuidzijde van het hoofdkantoor staat een vrijstaand betonreliëf van Daan Wildschut dat tekens van de dierenriem en het proces van cementproductie verbeeldt.

Description
Head office with laboratory, part of the ENCI factory complex (Eerste Nederlandse Cement Industrie). The head office with laboratory from 1964 was designed by architect Piet Dingemans. The representative building is characterised by extensive use of cement, both in the construction, the facade cladding with grooved concrete panels and in the decorative elements. The head office has seven storeys. The front facade has parapets of profiled concrete panels, above which are strip windows. The laboratory has six storeys.
The interior of the office and laboratory is largely unaltered and features numerous art installations in the interior, including photopanels (Frans Lahaye and B. van Gils), corridor on the first floor with grisaille paintings (Mart Linnarts), concrete grenette wall in the hall and mosaics in the canteen (Frans Slijpen) and the lettering above the entrance (Jan van den Bouwhuyzen). On the south side of the head office stands a free-standing concrete relief by Daan Wildschut depicting signs of the zodiac and the cement production process.
