Omschrijving
Omschrijving onderdeel 1.

Description
Description of component 1.
Main building The Hunting Lodge Kloetinge In 1871, the lord of the manor Johan Cornelis Clotterbooke Patijn had the Hunting Lodge, a 'hunter's dwelling' in eclectic style, built beside an existing duck pond or creek. The design was by architect J.H. Hannink, who also designed the rectory and town hall in Kloetinge. The house was intended exclusively for hunting upon construction and not for permanent residence. This is evident among other things in the construction method: one-brick-thick walls for the exterior and half-brick for the interior walls. It was designed in two parts. Initially the front section was exclusively the representative domain of the lord of the manor, the rear part served as 'dwelling for the hunter' who was also the house caretaker. This division did not last long. In 1876 the entire house is rented out. Upon renting it becomes clear that the house is used as a whole. The extension on the east side is from 1886-1888. The kennels built onto the rear have been demolished.
Building on a T-shaped floor plan of red brickwork erected under zinc-clad, composite roofs. The front house consists of a transversely placed section of four bays under overhanging gabled roof. The two central bays are executed as a central projection with a substantial roof dormer under gabled roof that projects into the roof plane of the front house. The rear section likewise lies under a gabled roof. The brick facades are enlivened with rusticated (corner) pilasters in stucco with recessed panels. Along the roof overhangs zinc drip mouldings and palmettes on the roof ridges. The building stands on a high plastered basement.
The arrangement of the south facade of the transverse house is as follows: basement, piano nobile and first floor which only in the central projection has a full storey, executed as mezzanines to either side. In the central projection two fenètres a terre under segmental arch with substantial stucco moulding and keystone. In the side sections segmental arch-shaped T-windows with substantial stucco moulding and keystone with leaf scrolls and stag heads in Portland cement. The first floor of central projection and side sections has a string course. On the first floor a composite window with glazing bars and stucco mouldings. Guttae along the eaves. The side facades of the transverse house are finished with stuccoed pilasters. Along the eaves a running frieze. Two of the three narrow windows with inverted segmental arch and small natural stone window sills with wooden base are in later times replaced by a segmental arch-shaped window. Above the string course a two-light window. In front of the south facade a terrace with brick steps, from which a fine view over the water feature. The entrance with stoop is in the western or left side facade. In this facade now four windows with cast-iron glazing bars in honeycomb bond. Above the string course two mezzanine windows connected to each other by running moulding. Also here a terrace. In the rear facade the access to the kitchen which was made in 1963. In the front house centrally lies the dining room/salon, flanked by bedrooms. On the first floor likewise bedrooms. In the rear section originally the hunter's living room (later dining room) with built-in beds and adjoining the kitchen. Below the hunter's living room a cellar was constructed. Below the kitchen a storage place for fuel. On the first floor the attic and a servant's room. Roof truss structure of the attic with Philibert trusses.
