Omschrijving complexonderdeel 8: Een evenwijdig aan de Hydeparklaan gelegen 19de-eeuwse TUINMANSWONING in chaletstijl naar het ontwerp van de architect J.N. Landré, van anderhalve bouwlaag en deels onderkelderd op rechthoekig grondplan onder een met kruispannen gedekt samengesteld zadel- en schilddak, waarvan de dakschilden uitzwenken. De dakschilden en dakgoot worden geschraagd door schoren met snijwerk. De dakschilden van het zadeldak steken aan de voor- en achterzijde uit en zijn in de top voorzien van een versierde makelaar en getoogde windveer, waarin ronde uitsparingen zijn aangebracht. Op de nok van het zadeldak is een klokkenstoel geplaatst. De bakstenen gevels hebben speklagen van gele baksteen en zijn op de hoeken aan de voorgevel voorzien van gemetselde lisenen. Alle gevels hebben een harstenen plint. In de gevels zijn voornamelijk drielichtsvensters met gemetselde penanten en tweelichtsvensters met brede middenstijl geplaatst. De vensters in de eerste bouwlaag hebben een geprofileerde gemetselde omlijsting die aan de zijden met accenten van gele baksteen zijn versierd. De omlijsting wordt aan de bovenzijde door middel van een geprofileerde natuurstenen lijst afgesloten. De boogtrommels hebben een siermetselwerk vulling. Tussen de schoren in de halve bouwlaag is een aantal tweelichtsvensters met draairamen geplaatst. De voorgevel(zuid) heeft een symmetrische indeling van drie traveeën. Op de middenas bevindt zich een risaliet met kleine sprong onder de steekkap met windveervullingen. In het risaliet is de ingang met drie tredige hardstenen trap geplaatst. De achtergevel heeft een asymmetrische invulling met rechts van de middenas een kleine houten uitbouw onder een lessenaarsdak. Het venster links is niet meer oorspronkelijk. De rechter zijgevel heeft drie traveeën. Op de middenas is een risaliet met topgevel beëindiging geplaatst. In de verdieping bevindt zich een klein balkon op consoles. De linker zijgevel heeft nagenoeg een identieke opbouw als de rechter zijgevel. Het middenrisaliet maakt echter een aanmerkelijk grotere sprong. Op de begane grond heeft het plattegrond nagenoeg de oorspronkelijke indeling: een lange noordzuid gang waar diverse vertrekken op uitkomen.
WAARDERING
De 19de-eeuwse TUINMANSWONING is in cultuurhistorisch opzicht van algemeen belang;

Description of complex component 8: A 19th-century GARDENER'S HOUSE in chalet style to the design of architect J.N. Landré, situated parallel to the Hydeparklaan, of one-and-a-half storeys and partly cellared on a rectangular ground plan under a composite saddle and hipped roof covered with Spanish tiles, the roof slopes of which flare outward. The roof slopes and gutter are braced by braces with carving. The roof slopes of the gabled roof project at the front and rear and are provided at the apex with a decorated collar tie and arched wind brace, in which round cut-outs are made. On the ridge of the gabled roof is placed a bell cote. The brick facades have bands of yellow brick and are provided on the corners of the front facade with moulded pilasters. All facades have a stone plinth. In the facades are placed mainly three-light windows with moulded piers and two-light windows with wide middle post. The windows in the first storey have a moulded stone surround which on the sides are decorated with accents of yellow brick. The surround is closed at the top by means of a moulded natural stone band. The arch voussoirs have decorative brickwork filling. Between the braces in the half-storey a number of two-light windows with casements are placed. The front facade (south) has a symmetrical arrangement of three bays. On the central axis is a risalit with small projection under the collar tie with wind brace fillings. In the risalit is placed the entrance with a three-step stone staircase. The rear facade has an asymmetrical arrangement with on the right of the central axis a small wooden extension under a lean-to roof. The window on the left is no longer original. The right side facade has three bays. On the central axis is a risalit with gable end termination. On the first floor there is a small balcony on brackets. The left side facade has an almost identical arrangement to the right side facade. However, the central risalit makes a considerably larger projection. On the ground floor the ground plan has almost the original arrangement: a long north-south corridor with various rooms opening onto it.

The 19th-century GARDENER'S HOUSE is of general cultural-historical importance;
