Omschrijving onderdeel 4:
MUREN MET POORT OM HET HUISEILAND bij Weerdesteyn. In 1875-1876 met machinale baksteen opgetrokken rechte keermuur en ommuring rondom het huiseiland met aan de ZO-zijde de in handvorm baksteen opgetrokken poort. De keermuur en ommuring zijn afgesloten door een ezelsrug. Laatstgenoemde is op enkele plekken doorbroken door een aan weerszijden door een kleine pijler met hardstenen afdekplaat omlijstte doorkijk. De doorkijken bevinden zich niet in het verlengde van de vensteropeningen in de ombouw van de woontoren. Aan de ZO-zijde wordt de muur onderbroken door de door rechte pijlers omlijstte getoogde poortdoorgang met houten dubbele poortdeur en siermeedwerk in het boogveld.

WALLS WITH GATE AROUND THE HOUSE ISLAND at Weerdesteyn. In 1875-1876 a straight retaining wall and perimeter wall around the house island built with machine-made brick, with the gate on the SE side built of handmade brick. The retaining wall and perimeter are topped by a half-hipped roof edge. The latter is broken in several places by a view-through framed on both sides by a small pillar with hardstone capping. The view-throughs are not aligned with the window openings in the enclosure of the residential tower. On the SE side the wall is interrupted by an arched gate passage framed by straight pillars with a wooden double gate door and ornamental ironwork in the arch field.
