Omschrijving
BRUG (8) behorende bij de historische buitenplaats Backershagen. In de aanleg bevindt zich een 19de-eeuwse bakstenen brug naar ontwerp van architect H.H.A. Wentzel. De brug heeft gemetselde brugwanden (kruisverband) geleed door pijlers en een opgemetselde balustrade afgedekt met natuursteen. Segmentvormige onderdoorgang. Boven de doorgang uitkragende pijlers, waartussen een verhoogd gedeelte van de balustrade met hardstenen afdekplaten (de pijlers met een diamantkopvorm). De borstwering wordt verlevendigd door een fries met tandlijst. Het brugdek is voorzien van ijsselklinkers.

BRIDGE (8) belonging to the historic country estate Backershagen. In the grounds is situated a 19th-century brick bridge to the design of architect H.H.A. Wentzel. The bridge has mortared bridge walls (stretcher-bond) articulated by piers and a built-up balustrade topped with natural stone. Segmental-arched underpass. Above the passage projecting piers, between which a raised section of the balustrade with hardstone coping plates (the piers with a diamond-shaped cap). The breastwork is enlivened by a frieze with sawtooth moulding. The bridge deck is laid with Ijsselklinkers.
