Omschrijving
Voormalige RENMEESTERSWONING OF POLDERHUIS. In rode baksteen opgetrokken monumentale woning, deels op rechthoekige grondslag, onder drie haaks aaneengesloten met Oud-Hollandse pannen gedekte schilddaken met kleiner uitgebouwd vierde schilddak aan de linkerzijde. De onregelmatige grondslag van het gebouw doet een een totstandkoming in gespreide bouwcampagnes vermoeden. Het achterste naar het park gerichte bouwlichaam onder schilddak is iets korter dan het aan de straat gelegen bouwlichaam onder schilddak. Hierdoor vertoont de achter de muur (zie onderdeel 8) gelegen gevel een verspringing, die een smalle L-vormige opening markeert, bij wijze van niet afgesloten binnenplaats. De brede naar de straat gerichte voorgevel werd omstreeks 1800 van een regelmatige gevelindeling voorzien afgesloten door een kroonlijst (waarin goot). Centraal aan deze zijde de met blokpijlers en kroonlijst omlijste dubbele panelen entree-deur met 4-ruits bovenlicht. Aan weerszijden hiervan twee 8-ruits empire schuifvensters (binnenluiken) onder bakstenen strek en op de verdieping 5 -6-ruits empire schuifvensters, eveneens onder bakstenen strek. In de linkergevel meerrruitsschuifvensters, deels 18de-eeuws, deels empire en deels uit het begin van de 20ste eeuw. In de achtergevel beganegronds 3 en op de verdieping 4 kruisvensters met meerruitsindling. De rechtergevel is tegen de zijgevel van het pand Wittenburgstraat nr. 27 aangebouwd.

Former STEWARD'S HOUSE OR POLDER HOUSE. A monumental residence built in red brick, partly on a rectangular ground plan, under three mutually perpendicular hipped roofs covered with Old Dutch tiles, with a smaller fourth hipped roof built out on the left side. The irregular ground plan of the building suggests construction in separate building campaigns. The rear building body facing the park under a hipped roof is slightly shorter than the building body facing the street under a hipped roof. As a result, the facade situated behind the wall (see component 8) displays an offset, which marks a narrow L-shaped opening, in the manner of an unclosed courtyard. The broad front facade facing the street was given a regular facade division around 1800, closed off by a cornice (containing gutter). Centrally on this side the double-panelled entrance door with 4-pane fanlight, framed by block pillars and cornice. On either side of this two 8-pane Empire sash windows (interior shutters) under brick lintel and on the first floor 5-6-pane Empire sash windows, also under brick lintel. In the left facade multi-pane sash windows, partly 18th-century, partly Empire and partly from the early 20th century. In the rear facade on the ground floor 3 and on the first floor 4 cross windows with multi-pane glazing. The right facade is built against the side facade of the property at Wittenburgstraat no. 27.
